Poodles have hair, not fur, it changes as they mature. It is always evolving! EVERY poodle does it, not just browns or blacks. My pictures on this website, reflect conformation in a moment in time. USUALLY when it was taken is noted under the photo. As they mature, I try to update photos on FB as much as possible not all make it to this website. Color doesn’t change who the dog is and never should it be a deciding factor when you make a 15 year commitment!
Available—Maia weighs in at 14 pounds this week. She is a absolute sweet heart. She wears her heart on her shoulder. She tested 3s an 4s on the volhard test. She would make a great service dog potential. It’s amazing to have 2 in this litter this time hit the markers for being even a potential. She is a lap gal loves to snuggle. She will excel in obedience training. She would be a great emotional support dog. She would excel in alert or could potentially do counter balance for a small human. She is alittle thicker in bone structure then her sister Cassi. I do not think either of these girls for service work will be over 45 pounds. Did I mention I’m never right in guessing weights or whether they will be dark or lighter brown. Just love them for who they will become🤎
Carina is my biggest girl Weighing in at 15.8 pounds. Carina is my lower drive puppy (lazy). She is super sweet eager to please. She will often like the men in the house over me. She will be in my sons lap from the time he enters the play area. Lots an lots of upfront socialization for any of these puppies. She is so quiet can easily be left alone to play. It’s a question of should you? No, Don’t hide them away. I have went thru the additional expense of keeping them longer an vaccinating them twice. While they still need boosters, and you should NOT go to dog parks. It is still important to get them out to see friends an family an any friendly well known animals. She is one of my bigger gals. 🤎She would be terrific in a elderly home without younger children running about all day long. She would prefer a home that didn’t have much change happening. 🤎
Orion weighs in at just over 13.6 pounds. He is a independent boy. Full of sassy talk. He will talk back often. See our fb book for a little talking from Orion. He is always last to come in from outside, an last to go out. This little guy is a funny, silly, brown clown. He can self entertain playing nicely on the floor. He does enjoy a good belly rub. He strives to be the leader of the pack and tells me when someone enters the room. Orion gets the zoomies he is so incredibly cute. Orion has shown me many different things he can do something I had not seen. I had separated a few puppies out for playtime. He was more at my feet kinda guy. I was pleasantly surprised he felt he could come see me. Less competition I think. He played tug and started to fetch a small stuffed toy. He was willing to sit and shake. It amazes me sometimes what a difference a few days makes.🤎
Reserved—Cassi weighs in at over 10.5 pounds. She scored 4s an 3s in the volhard testing. She is eager to learn an please. She plays well in the group. I don’t see her putting up much of a struggle she is pretty quiet an content. I’d consider her a middle of the road child. Well suited for service dog potential. She may not be big enough for counter balance work but she has incredible eye contact meaning she could excel in medical alert or hearing impaired. She would make a great support dog for those who have special needs. She loves attention and is a constant pup in my lap at playtime. She is so gentle an kind she may need protection from small children. I see her excelling in obedience. 🤎
Reserved—Adhara weighs in this week at 8.6 pounds. Let’s start off with the results of the volhard testing. She was rated as a 3 on the scale. Showing much of what I see on a daily basis. She is a higher drive(energy) puppy. She has a terrific prey drive will chase just about anything. She will be a great dog for a owner skilled in training an channeling her energy into a job. She will be quick to learn new skills. She will get bored easy if not challenged daily. More maybe in the coming week on her if I need to.
Reserved—Ursa weighs in at 8.7 pounds this week. She is my pick of this litter because of her ability to be somewhat independent. She is not so independent that she doesn’t need attention. She will seek me out during playtime. She was my first to sit and shake. She plays well in the group. She is a higher drive puppy and will require a second time owner an training. She loves to chase the lure so she shows potential for a higher prey drive like her mom. Her interactions with kids during their visits is positive. She doesn’t seem shy or fearful quit the opposite. She is super smart always ready at the gate waiting for my arrival. She is the darkest brown in the litter. 🤎
Reserved—Cen Taurus weighs in at 8 pounds. He is a puppy with a high to medium drive. He is my puppy that is seeking a leadership roll in the litter. I often find him in the midst of the disagreements. We are still working on the dynamics of who will eventually become the alpha. He is already offering to sit, shake. Taurus has very little interest in my lure or retrieving. Still a little young this may still come later. He will do well in just about any home with activity to channel that high/medium drive. He loves to interact with us will often vocalize his need for attention. I see him as a needy boy. It will be difficult to leave him for long periods of time. He won’t like being alone. I don’t see a lot of independence in him. He has a need to be with his people🤎
Reserved—Lyra weighs in at 7 pounds this week. She is my most outgoing gal. She tested in the 3s. She is prey driven. She will chase just about anything. Has started to retrieve. She takes being wet an in 2 inches of water probably the best of her siblings. Lyra has a high drive. She would excel having a job to channel that energy. She will be a great active family dog loves attention. She’s playful an not afraid of the many things I’ve introduced into her world. 🤎
Reserved—Sirius weighs in at 7.12. He scored in the 3s an 4s. I see his energy level being high to medium drive. He will need space to exercise an a family that does lots of exploring. He will be eager to please and easy to train. I see alittle independence in him just enough to not make him so needy. He won’t compete for attention but desires it. He strives to be the alpha will often pick on Ursa because he can get away with bullying her. I don’t see him winning this spot overall. He will need protection from small children. 🤎
We made it to 4 weeks. Our little stars have out shined Themselves. They have all learned to escape from their box already. Their first hair cut happened. They are getting around very well now. Really starting to play with each other, an small toys I have introduced. Their hearing is all in and every one has a full mouth of needles. They like toes a lot. Monday we start goats milk by the weeks end they should be eating mushy kibble. The weaning process begins, an the work load shifts to me. Babies are doing well with potty trays already. Ella has done a terrific job some babies are almost 4 pounds. Ella is ready for this transition. She’s ready for a full nights sleep. Well I’m yet to have one uninterrupted. Especially with them escaping from the box and then can’t get back in! Luckily they are super cute at 2am.
Have a wonderful Christmas
Milestones eyes opened, toddling around, and my hearing has started….
It’s time to look at schedules: This has been updated for our new Star’s litter!
Visitors are welcome and encouraged. However, given the covid issues we face. I wish to keep my family safe. My puppy area is designed for puppies in mind not for a huge family to come. It is just too much of a risk and not really enough space. I can’t continue to care for your puppy if I get sick. I do hope you understand. If your sick or think you have a stuffy nose, don’t come here. If your allergic to cats i have them. My adult dogs will be locked in their crates during all visits. . Meeting my adult dogs during a time when puppies are here momma is going to be protective and others feed off from her. If a baby were to cry for whatever reason she could think you were hurting them. For this reason, You will have limited access to them. Any other time your visit would not be a issue.
Our visit week is December 26th-January 7th 2022/23 Sorry no weekend visits this time🐾This is a great week for kids to come. The puppies have no fear or no reaction to sudden movement kids make. This is the perfect week to expose the puppies to many different people, noises and sights. Let me know if there is a day you’d like to come hold puppies. They are just learning to walk and haven’t discovered their teeth, so this is kinda a quiet time before the teeth come out or personalities.
January 8th-13th, 2023–They will be active and playful at this stage, but also have discovered their mouth. I love when families bring children. If you are bringing children make sure they are older not toddlers and can take instructions well. It is too difficult to watch biting puppies. This is the week we teach no bite, but it usually takes a few weeks to get full results. Please remember your visit needs to be kept to less then a hour. I get behind in our everyday routines and protocols tired puppies are cranky start fighting. Once they start that its time for a nap.. I ask that visits here are not meant to be hours. Keep in mind other parents are also scheduled. puppies need rest to grow. These visits puts me extremely behind in activities that build in their knowledge. Tired puppies from visitors doesn’t move them thru our program of learning. It’s put off until the next day.
